Spellbound

Thought it'd be fun to go back and illustrate this original concept I sketched a long time ago back in college.
And, by fun, I also mean depressing... since the original version meant a lot to me and what I was going through at the time.

Feel free to see what this artwork means to y'all, too. Left some aspects a bit ambiguous this time around. I do like playing around with whether or not an artwork has a distinct meaning or something hidden and deeper depending on the goal of the piece.

Thinking of turning this guy into an actual character some day. Maybe even a mascot for a project of some kind? I dunno.
Just juggling some ideas in my head.
